How can I get involved?
There are many ways you can be involved with Bulimba State School and the P&C. Some of the opportunities are:
Attend P&C Meetings (see dates below) – monthly meeting attended by the Principal, staff, and P&C members. Sometimes members of the community are invited to speak.
Become part of the P&C team – add your voice to what’s happening around school. You may like to take on an Executive role such as President, Secretary or Treasurer.
Smart Bites – help out in the Tuckshop
Fundraising Events – help with one of our many events happening during the year.
Applying for grants – help our Grants Team investigate and submit applications for grants.
Volunteer in the classroom, at sports day or on excursions.
Helping out at school is a great way to get involved in your child’s education and get to know the school staff and other parents. Research shows that children benefit when their parents are actively involved in their education and school life.
Each year, nominations are open for all the P&C Executive positions. We have the following positions as part of our P&C Executive:
2. Vice-President (General)
3. Vice-President (Events)

The P&C meets most months. Meetings are generally held in the meeting room in C Block next to the library at various times during the year. We invite all parents to come along to see what we're working on, find out what's happening at the school and have your say on any initiatives or issues. Recent minutes are published here for you to look at how the P&C is working with the school to improve resources and learning opportunities for our children. Specific meeting minutes can be downloaded from the links below.
