Inflatable Games - Week 9, Monday 20th March to Friday 24th March

For many years, in term 1 the P&C have organised the Swimathon (for students in years 1 to 6) and Moveathon (Prep students). It is a major fund raising initiative of the P&C. In 2016, thanks to the generous support of parents, sponsors and the community we raised a massive $25,000.

Our pool is currently out of action, so in 2017 we will be launching the Inflatable Games sponsored by AstroJump. All students from Prep to Year 6 complete as many laps of the inflatable water course within 20 minutes. It is amazing to see how many laps the children can complete, so everyone is welcome to come along to encourage the children and count their laps! Click here to see when your child is completing the course.

We also encourage parents to participate by completing laps during the parent session. The obstacle course will open one morning during this event for teachers, parents and community members to contribute their laps to the overall total for their child/childrens’ house.

For the students, it is all about participation. Certificates are awarded to every participant, plus great prizes for achievements including:

  • Highest level of class participation – Limited edition Inflatable Games Towel supplied by Hosi Kozi and one free swimming lesson at Hamptons Swim School

  • Highest Fundraising total raised by a class – Pizza Party sponsored by Di Farmer and a Ginger Sports class party.

  • Highest Individual fundraiser – movie passes and a family box of Maltesers supplied by Shayne Sutton and a term of swimming lessons at Hamptons Swim School.

  • Highest total laps completed by a female – A classical facial at Stephanies Bulimba

  • Highest total laps completed by a male - $50 voucher sponsored by Sarmic Artisan Provisions and Café Bulimba

  • Team trophy for the House that completes the most obstacles

  • Team trophy for the House that raises the most money

Every child that raises a total of $100 or more receives a prize!

How do I donate money?

  1. The easiest way to donate is online through Everyday Hero (
and share your fundraising pages through your social media accounts. Create
their own fundraising page by searching for Bulimba State School or at:

  2. You can also pay your total amount through Everyday Hero as a donation.
Search for Bulimba State School and choose “Give Now”. On the form choose
“I’m donating as an organisation”. In the organisation name please put your child’s
name and class so we can identify where to allocate the money. It’s very important that
we know the child’s name and which class for the prizes.

  3. If parents want to pay cash, please remind them that any envelopes containing
money and sponsorship forms brought to school must be clearly labeled with name
and class. Every year we chase the ownership of unidentified money and children may
    miss out on the prizes.
