School Banking Program
Bulimba State School participates in the Commonwealth Bank School Banking program. This program helps students develop important savings skills and includes a fantastic rewards program to encourage good saving habits. Every time your child makes a deposit at school they will receive a Dollarmites token. Once your child has collected 10 tokens they can be redeemed for an exclusive Dollarmites reward item.
School Banking is also a great fundraiser for our P&C Association. Our school receives a Regular Savers Contribution of $5 for every 10 deposits processed per student as well as an Annual Contribution which is based on the number of students who made at least one School Banking deposit in the prior year. To enable us to actively participate in this program we have volunteer parent School Banking Co-ordinators. These volunteers help run the program by processing deposits, banking money at the branch, issuing certificates, and ordering and distributing Dollarmites reward items.
Taking part in School Banking is easy!
If your child has an existing Commonwealth Bank Youthsaver account, they can start banking straight away. Banking day is every Thursday. Dollarmite deposit books are collected at the beginning of class and returned the following day. If your child has lost their deposit book, just let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll issue a replacement.
If your child does not have a Youthsaver account, there are three easy options to open one:
1. Apply online at www.commbank.com.au/schoolbanking
2. Log on to your CommBank App (if you bank with CommBank)
3. Visit any Commonwealth Bank branch. Remember to take some personal identification for you and your child.
Thank you for supporting our school and our P&C, and teaching your child good savings skills.
