Swim Club Update
Bulimba State School Swim Club is back in term 4 2016. Due to the construction of the new building at Bulimba State School, we won't be able to use our old faithful swimming pool. Swim Club will be commencing in the first week term four and it's going to be better than ever because we're temporarily moving to Morningside State School, Pashen Street, Morningside.
There's one small catch, we do have to change our Swim Club night from Thursday to Friday. But we know it will be worth it!
Morningside SS Pool is heated
Morningside SS Pool has brand new change rooms and much better seating facilities
The parking is easier around Morningside SS
Everything else will stay the same. It will be our regular Swim Club, just on a Friday evening instead of a Thursday evening.
Same time: 5.45pm - 7.45pm
Same great Bulimba Darts Swim Club
Principal Zeuschner has informed us that we should be back using our pool in term 1, 2017 and if we do it will be back to Thursday nights. However there are no guarantees and it is completely out of our control. If our own pool is still out of action, we will continue the season at Morningside State School.

About Swim Club
Swim Club is a subcommittee of the P&C and is run by Bulimba State School parents. Swim Club (Bulimba Darts) is held every Friday night from 5.30pm to 8.00pm in Terms 1 and 4 at Morningside State School. All families are welcome.
This is a Swim Club which encourages participation and self-improvement for swimmers of all abilities. We include ½ pool races for early swimmers, 25m races (all strokes), 50m races (all strokes) and a Race Special (100m) every week. Each child is timed and will race against children of similar ability.
Swim Club membership is $85 per child plus a refundable $50 Volunteer Levy. The season runs for 19 weeks from the start of term four to the end of term one (Championships Night). Membership covers Swim Club nights, swim cap, participation in two outside swimming carnivals, Swim Club Championships Day, end-of-season trophies for each child, and the Christmas Party. Volunteering is optional, but it is great fun to get involved - from time-keeping to serving in the well run canteen with traditional BBQ choices and some alternate healthy options.
Past students and children from other schools in the area also welcome up to age 13.
The Swimming Club exists to supplement the swimming program offered by the school by providing additional instruction and opportunities for competition at a range of levels. Its objectives are:
To provide a health and physical education program that will benefits the students attending the club
To provide opportunities for children to grow and develop, physically, mentally and emotionally through the sport of swimming
To provide competitive opportunities to swimmers in a positive, encouraging environment
To support the school in its health and physical education programs
Support the P&C Association in fostering the well-being of Bulimba State School
