Food Services
Food Services is a Business Unit of the P&C and provides the following services to the school community:

Smart Bites tuckshop service operating five days a week during term time (Monday to Friday)

Cooked breakfast and afternoon tea during term time for OSHC (Monday to Friday)

Cooked breakfast, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for OSHC Vacation Care and student-free days

Catering for school and P&C events

Barista coffee, breakfast options and take-home family meals for our community to purchase
Food served to students by Smart Bites complies with the Queensland Government's Smart Choices Guidelines. Most of our menu items are prepared on-site and include many options for children with allergies or intolerances. We try our best to be as inclusive as possible and invite feedback from parents, caregivers, students, and staff. Our team is always looking for new and exciting options.

Ordering from Smart Bites
Smart Bites operates five days a week - Monday to Friday. Full tuckshop service is available and should be pre-ordered via the Qkr! app. Students can purchase over the counter items at second break once they are released to play. Our preference is for parents and caregivers to order online as our system has all information about the child including allergies.
Smart Bites also offers a staff menu. Staff can place orders on the Qkr! app or come to the counter before 8.30am each morning. For your convenience, we have EFTPOS facilities available.
Order deadlines

Orders can be placed up until 8.30am the morning of service except for Sushi on Friday (late orders via the school office will incur a $3.00 admin fee).

Friday sushi orders must be placed by 7.30am on Friday mornings (no cancellations or refunds).

Phone orders will not be accepted by the school or Smart Bites.

Smart Bites staff will take calls to work through technical issues.
How to register and order

Step 1. Download Qkr! on your Android phone or iPhone. iPad users can download iPhone App. App Store or Google Play
Step 2: Register - select your Country of Residence as ‘Australia’ and follow the steps to register
Step 3: Find Bulimba State School.
Step 4: Register your child/ren - when first accessing your school menu, you will be prompted to register your child. This allows you to make school payments on their behalf.
About the Qkr! App Qkr is a safe, secure and reliable way to pay for school items. Qkr Is provided by MasterCard so you know the payments are secure. No information is stored on your phone. Registration details and card information are saved securely on the MasterCard network. Qkr will accept payment using ANY credit/debit card (except American Express).
